Alexander Sharov (1923-1973)

My father, Alexander Sharov, studied fossil insects. These two photos depict him at work in Karatau Mountains (near Tashkent, Uzbekistan).

I was in one of his annual expeditions when I was a 10-yr old boy.

Alexander Sharov found several interesting reptilia including Sharovipterix which had wings on its hind legs.
